EasySampler History in the making
Simplifying Stool and Urine Collection
In 2008, Christian Erfurt-Hansen and Morten Sønderholm approached Henning Hedegaard with an innovative idea for a stool collector. That’s the year Henning established GP Medical Devices (GPMD) in Holstebro, Denmark, with the mission to make the process of collecting stool samples more accessible and less awkward for patients.
Through diligent testing and innovation, the EasySampler was born. This series of medical devices includes three disposable products designed for both the EU and US markets, catering to various collection needs.
The EasySampler is made from special paper that facilitates easy and hygienic collection of stool and urine samples. It’s designed to stay in place for 6-8 minutes, allowing users to collect samples comfortably. After use, the paper dissolves quickly upon flushing, ensuring a hassle-free disposal process.
The paper used in EasySampler has passed rigorous flushing and biodegradability tests, confirming the reliability of all models in the series. These kits are medically approved and CE marked under the In Vitro Diagnostic Medical Device Regulation 2017/746, class A.
Tailoring for International Success
After identifying that the EU model faced challenges in the American market due to differing toilet designs, a specialized US version was developed. This adaptation proved highly successful, particularly in toilets with high water levels. Today, the US version of EasySampler is FDA registered.
Accessibility and Custom Solutions
